Why we built the Nexy
I built the Nexy after my fourth $65 gate fee on a Sydney–Bali flight. I'd packed light, my bag fit the dimensions, and I still got pinged because the soft pack bulged at the sizer cage.

Do I really need the rain cover?
Only if you're going somewhere it might rain — which in Australia is basically anywhere November–March. The Nexy's main compartment is water-resistant, but the exterior straps, mesh side pockets, and front panel are not. The rain cover is 95g, packs into your jacket pocket, and saves a $2,000 laptop from one wrong squall.
What if the pump breaks?
Covered under the 2-year warranty — we'll replace it. You can also compress manually. The pump makes it faster, not mandatory.
Won't clothes come out wrinkled?
